AIA Contract Documents™ Software License Options

AIA Contract Documents offers yearly subscription to software with access to 100+ AIA Contract Documents. Our Microsoft® Office based software makes it easier than ever to create, customize and manage your contract documents and payment forms.

To purchase or renew the license of your choice, click the “Contract Documents” tab in the menu bar to go back to your options. To proceed with your selection simply click “purchase” or “renew”. After you select the correct license, click the “Buy Now” button below that license.

How to Choose an AIA Contract Document License -

We offer two types of software products to meet your needs:

• Unlimited Licenses: give you the ability to select document types from the entire AIA Contract Document library, draft you own version and finalize to PDF format as many documents as you would like over one year.

• Limited Licenses: gives the ability to select document types from the entire AIA Contract Document library for one year, but you can only save to final PDF format a limited, predetermined number of document units (DUs)*, which are used up as you save final PDF versions of your documents.

To determine which is right for you, just follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Estimate the number of projects you or your firm may be involved with during a 12 month period. Similarly, consider the type and size of projects – large, midsize, small, commercial or residential, etc.

Step 2: Based on the number, types and size of construction and design projects estimated in step 1, we’ve developed a guide below to assist you in selecting the best value for your contract documents needs. Please note this is only a guide. Factors unique to your circumstances should be considered.

*What is ‘DU’? It stands for Document Units. With an AIA Contract Documents Limited License, customers have access to all documents and can only convert a limited number of documents to their final form in the 12 month license period. Each document is assigned a ‘unit’ value whereby customers choose the documents they need for projects up to 300 DUs per year. Document unit values range from 0 to 25 per document. See list.
