AIA to launch innovative digital media hub and personalized e-newsletters in 2024
The American Institute of Architects organization is set to launch a new website, digital media hub and a curated, personalized e-newsletter late this year through early 2024.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 4, 2023 – The American Institute of Architects organization is set to launch a new website, digital media hub and a curated, personalized e-newsletter late this year through early 2024. This digital strategy overhaul follows Zonda's decision to cease printing hard copies of ARCHITECT Magazine at the end of 2023, thereby ending its contract with AIA.
As the publishing landscape continues to evolve, AIA is proactively taking steps to ensure its members have access to high-quality, relevant content. The new content hub, which will be available on AIA's new website as a member benefit, will offer a unique user experience. In addition, the weekly e-newsletter will begin to use personalization algorithms and AI platforms to deliver content tailored to each member's individual interests and professional specializations.
By harnessing data such as specific practice areas, specializations, and geographic locations, AIA aims to provide each member with a unique offering of premium news articles, video clips, case studies, relevant educational opportunities, and best practices.
Despite the shift away from print media, AIA also plans to showcase exclusive content through a special-issues print publication, provided there are sponsorship dollars to offset the cost. Once sponsorship resources are established, AIA’s special print publication themes will reflect organizational priorities, such as an AIA Awards or AIA Conference on Architecture & Design edition.
This innovative approach to delivering content is a testament to AIA's commitment to adapt and evolve in step with changes in the media landscape, ensuring its members continue to receive the most relevant and engaging content. The new digital media hub and personalized e-newsletters are expected to launch in early 2024.
