Join AIA as an International Associate member
AIA is the largest, most influential network of architects and design professionals who are designing a better world. Find out how you can become an International Associate member of AIA.
The power of belonging here
AIA is where architects, design professionals, and the AEC community come together to network, celebrate, collaborate, socialize, grow, and shape the future. We’re a community of passionate individuals bound by shared values, standards, and ethics. Most importantly, we’re a community united by a shared drive to design a better world, together.
Membership at the International Associate level is open to architects licensed outside the U.S., regardless of location. Architects licensed by a U.S. authority are not eligible.
Members use the AIA member designation after their name, which is a standard of excellence recognized by clients, the public, architecture and design professionals, and the AEC industry.
The member designation used by International Associate members is “International Assoc. AIA.” Learn more about how to use it and what it means to the industry.
