This Non-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, & Complaint Policy applies to all AIA members, AIA employees, partners, sponsors, vendors, and others in connection with AIA operations, while attending or engaged in AIA-hosted events or activities, or while at an AIA venue (such as at AIA’s offices); or when participating in business or social activities or discussions at AIA.
One of the benefits that comes with AIA membership is the right to use the AIA member designation after their name. The AIA designation signals the highest standards of architectural practice, and it’s recognized by clients, the public, colleagues, and the AEC industry as a standard of excellence. One of the benefits of AIA membership is the ability to use the AIA member logo, as outlined in Section 2.02 and Section 2.121 of AIA’s Bylaws. This privilege is reserved for individual members, including Architect members, Associate members, International Associate members, and Emeritus members, who are in good standing. Architecture firms may also use the AIA member logo, provided that a majority of the firm's owners are AIA members. The member logo represents a commitment to upholding the Institute’s values and standards and signifies association with the AIA’s mission.
